WEST CHESTER, PA — At a time when commercial real estate developers have stored their shovels, shelved their blueprints and forsaken new building opportunities, RedGo Development is expanding its sphere of operations to Berlin Township, Camden County, NJ.

According to Fred Goebert, president of RedGo, the company has acquired a 32-acre site adjacent to Virtua Berlin Hospital, with approximately 1,600 feet of frontage on the White Horse Pike, Route 30. The parcel, which was acquired from a family partnership that has owned it since the 1960s, is opposite the Berlin Shopping Center and also borders Jackson Road.

Zoned for retail and office uses, Goebert said RedGo would be preparing a master plan for the property after meeting with local officials and residents. “We want to make sure the property realizes its highest and best use while creating something that is attractive and well received by the community,” Goebert said. He expects to start meeting with borough officials in the coming weeks.

The purchase of the Berlin site is the first investment in southern New Jersey for RedGo, a privately held company that since its establishment in 1998 has been a leader in commercial real estate development in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Specializing in commercial and industrial real estate ventures, the firm’s in-house construction and property management divisions offer unique efficiency and flexibility with streamlined approvals, improvements, and construction in every development initiative.

Pennsylvania developments completed by RedGo include Lewis Square and the Linfield Office Campus in Royersford, Naamans Creek Corporate Center in Upper Chichester Township, the Willowbrook Business Park in West Chester, Three Tun Business Center in Frazer, 1055 Andrew Drive in West Chester and the New Continental Plaza office complex in Upper Merion Township.

In addition to office and retail complexes, RedGo has constructed residential developments that include the 300-unit Linfield Homes in Linfield Township and Sanatoga Commons in Pottstown. The company is currently in the approval process for a 327-unit senior living facility with 70,000 square feet of office/retail in Limerick Township, PA that is scheduled to break ground later this year. The estimated aggregate value of all RedGo developments completed in Pennsylvania exceeds $250 million.
